So this site is dedicated to the scumbag Michael Vick, but you might be interested to know that his little brother Marcus is quite the scumbag too. I guess it runs in the family.
Let’s take a look at some of Marcus’s career highlights.
September 2003 – In his redshirt freshman season at Virginia Tech, Marcus was suspended for one-game for undisclosed reasons.
January 2004 – Marcus, who was 20 years old at the time, was charged with having sex with a 15 year old girl and providing alcohol to three underage girls. The 15 year old girl refused to testify, but Marcus was sentenced to 30 days in jail for three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He appealed and ended up doing no jail time.
Summer 2004 – Marcus was charged with reckless driving and possession of marijuana. He lost his drivers license and was temporarily suspended from Virginia Tech.
October 2005 – Marcus gave the middle finger to fans during a game at West Virginia University. His big brother Michael did the same thing to about year later to fans in Atlanta.
December 2005 – Marcus was charged with speeding and driving on a suspended license. This was his ninth driving offense since 2002.
January 2006 – During the Gator Bowl, Marcus stomped on the leg of an opposing player who was in a defenseless position on the ground. After the game, the referee apologized for not seeing it and said he would have thrown Marcus out of the game if he had. Marcus claimed that he apologized to the other player, but the player said he never did. Less than a week later, Marcus was kicked off of the Virginia Tech football team, “due to a cumulative effect of legal infractions and unsportsmanlike play”.
January 2006 (again) – Marcus got into an argument with 3 teenagers in a McDonalds parking lot and pulled a gun on them. Charges were eventually dropped.
December 2006 – A 17-year old girl filed a lawsuit against Marcus accusing him of molestation of a minor, fraud and other charges. She claimed she had sex with Vick for two years, starting when she was 15 years old, and Marcus offered her alcohol and marijuana and forced her to have sex with other men. The lawsuit was settled in 2008.
June 2008 – After trying to outrun the cops, Marcus was charged with DUI, eluding police, driving on the wrong side of a street, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. During booking he listed his address as a house belonging to his brother, Michael Vick. Marcus received a suspended jail sentence of 12 months.
August 2009 – A judge revoked Marcus’s suspended sentence and sent him to jail for violating his probation. Marcus did not complete an alcohol education program, he tested positive for marijuana, he missed appointments, and he failed to pay court costs and fines.
At least Marcus “New Mexico” Vick never tortured animals or knowingly gave girls genital herpes (that we know about). He’s still a pretty big scumbag though. I guess he turned out the way you would expect him to, growing up and looking up to a big brother like Michael Vick.
